A Set of Modern Cabanas in Portugal...a New Living Concept

According to the article, João de Almeida and Pedro Ferreira Pinto from the Architectural Firm LDA found the inspiration for this project in the fisherman cabanas that can be found in the south of the Sado river in Portugal. They had the great idea of creating a set of cabanas, one for each different room, instead of modifying the cabana concept to scale it as a regular house...they would have definitely lost their charm. Each cabana has a different purpose, one for family life, one for the parents and one for the kids. They are linked to each other through wooden paths to keep the beach house feeling.

I love how the project combined tradition and modern life...such an original way of life!
